Lincoln 9 Months

Link is 9 months now and seriously don't know where the time went!  It seems like he was just born and now he's getting so big.  I took him to the doctor today for his 9 month well check and he was 16 pounds which puts him in the 8 percentile.  He has been in the 3 percentile  until now so it's really good that he's gaining a little weight.  He's still the skinniest baby that I have ever seen but it's good that he's getting  a little bigger.  He's 85 percentile for height so just super tall and skinny.  He's the sweetest little baby I've every seen he's so happy all the time. He still wakes up at least once during the night to eat but he's getting a little better.  He has 2 cute little teeth and I think he's close to getting some more on top.  He stands and walks on all of our furniture and can walk a little with a walker.  He gets into my cupboards and loves playing in the dishwasher.  He loves toys and playing with his brother. He's getting so big and seriously gets cuter by the day.  I love that little guy!

Halloween

Halloween this year was a lot of fun.  Jackson is finally old enough to get excited about things and he had fun.  Jackson is obsessed with Monsters inc and Monsters University right now so he dressed up as Mike and Link was Sully.

We took Jackson trick-or-treating but he got really scared of the other trick-or-treaters so we only went to about 5 houses before he started screaming saying it was to scary and refused to go to the door.  We had fun handing candy out at our house.  So Halloween itself wasn't that exciting but we did some fun Halloween activities during the month of October.
At the beginning of October every year Jordan's family has a Halloween party.  They play lots of games and have dinner.  It's always a lot of fun to see all the kids in their Halloween costumes.

Jackson and Lincoln with their Nana, Papa, and cute cousin.

We painted pumpkins that we grew in our garden.  We decided to paint pumpkins because I am horrible at carving pumpkins and it's really not Jordan's thing either.  Also carving pumpkins with a 2 year old and and 8 month old isn't fun just dangerous.  We painted Mike from Monsters Inc and a Minion from Despicable Me.  Jackson and Lincoln both had  a lot of fun.  Jackson pained most of the green on Mike himself with a little help from Jordan and I painted the faces. Link held a paint brush and had lots of fun watching.
I love Lincoln's cute smile in this picture.

He had a lot of fun!
The finished products!  They don't look fantastic because I'm not the best artist, but we had a lot of fun painting them and Jackson loved them.

One of my favorite things we do every fall is go to the pumpkin patch.  This year we went to Hee Haw farms.  We went on a Saturday with my family and it was super busy.  There were some games and other activities but Jackson was to young for most of them.  He liked the hay ride and the animals.  It was really close to Halloween and the pumpkin patch was really pathetic so we didn't buy any pumpkins. It was fun but I definitely like the Red Barn better.  That's where we went last year and we will probably go there again next year.
 Jackson loved this swing

Link had lots of fun too
My kids NEVER look at the camera for pictures so honestly this is about the best we could do for a family picture.  There were to many fun things to distract them.

Lincoln 8 Months

Link is getting so big I can't believe it he's 8 months already.  I have to write down what he's doing so I don't forget.  He has 2 teeth now on the bottom his teeth only cut right around 8 months.  I miss his little gummy smile but his teeth are really cute. He's happy all the time.  He crawls around like crazy and has started standing up on all of our furniture.  Getting him dressed is so hard now because he always wants to move.

Some things he likes:
-Crawling/Moving: He wants to move, get into things, and see what is going on all the time
-Jackson: He loves to follow his brother around
-Toys: Mostly Jackson's toys which makes Jacks really mad
-Reading books with Jackson
-Smiling: Seriously all the time
-Going anywhere: he loves to go places, he is so good everywhere we go
-Car rides: He almost always falls asleep
-Talking: He makes the cutest baby noises
-Being around people
-Being outside
-Swinging with Jackson

-Walks: Not even the cold weather can stop these two
-Cheerios, squash, most meats, carrots, and sweet potatoes

Some things he hates:
-Sleeping: He's still up A TON at night!
-Holding still
-Getting his diaper changed: It's seriously so hard he won't hold still!
-Peas and green beans
-Jackson's nap time: He gets so bored when Jackson isn't around

Family Pictures

We finally took some family picture!  This was the first time we've taken pictures since Lincoln was born and I'm way excited to finally have a picture of Link for my wall.  We made a mistake and went when Jackson was tired so the pictures really didn't turn out at all!  We got maybe one or two pictures that will kind of work to hang on my wall and some others that are just cute and fun to have.  Mostly Jackson ran around trying to throw rocks in the river and had lots of fun.  Here are a few of the best pictures.

The boys had fun playing in the leaves

This picture just sums up the whole experience.  I'm stressed and Jackson is just running around.

His face just makes me laugh in this picture.

Best Vacation Ever!!

Last week we went to California!  We flew out of Provo airport into LAX on Sunday morning.  Provo is seriously the best airport if you ever have the option to fly out of Provo do it!  We got there an hour early and it was so easy and relaxed.  My parents and Shelley drove and took a lot of our stuff so we only had to take carry on bags which was nice with the kids.  For months my mom collected things for Jackson to play with on the plane.  He had his own little Buzz Lightyear backpack that he carried full of coloring books and other little toys and snacks to keep him entertained.  I was really worried about flying with him but he was really good until about the last 20 minutes when he started getting tired of sitting in his car seat.  He kind of cried during landing and was really grumpy while we were waiting to get off the plane.  I had the nerve to put Link on his lap so he could see out the window and Jackson screamed so loud people 3 rows ahead of us were looking back at him.  So that was kind of embarrassing but other than that it was okay.

Link was really good he smiled and talked to the people sitting behind us then took a little nap.

Once we finally made it out of the airport we went to the beach.  The beach was actually one of my favorite things we did on this trip.  Link loved eating the sand and Jackson loved to water.  We had tons of fun playing in the water with Jackson.  My cousin Kara and her husband BJ came to hang out with us at the beach.

 Grandpa is the best babysitter.

They had some boogie boards so Jordan and I tried it for the first time which was awesome!  I wasn't very good but it was a lot of fun trying.

Of course Jordan was really good at it.
That night we went and ate at Knotts Berry Farm with Kara and BJ then headed back and put the kids to bed.
The next 3 days we went to Disneyland and California Adventure!  The first day Kara took the day off work and came with us.  It was so fun to see Kara!  We miss her tons since she moved to California.  Kara was our tour guide to Disneyland.

The first day Jackson was really scared of all the rides.  He cover his eyes and said "It's scary."  I felt bad for the guy we were all so excited to go for months.  My mom showed him rides on youtube and he couldn't wait.  Then we got there and he was afraid!!  It was kind of sad.  I think he was just really tired. My parents were nice enough to take the kids back to the hotel for a nap so Jordan, Shelley, Kara, and I could go ride some of the big rides.
Our scared faces waiting for tower of terror.

Luckily by the second day Jackson got use to it and started to like the rides.  He loved Monsters inc., Pooh, Small World, Dumbo and both the Toy Story Rides.  Jackson met Pooh, Woody, Jesse, and Mickey Mouse.

Jackson loved Pooh he gave him a big hug and didn't want to let go.

He liked Woody and Jesse.  For some reason he was so afraid of Mickey! Lincoln was so good the whole time!  He loved the rides he just looked around at everything and slept a lot in the stroller.  He was so good.  I thought I traumatized Jackson by taking him on Pirates.  We went the first day and again on the third day and he was terrified both times.  I felt so bad for the poor guy.  Now that we're home he talks about Pirates all the time and sings "Ho, ho, ho, ho, a pirate life......a me."
We flew home on Thursday out of LAX into Provo.  LAX is kind of a pain but all the airport employees were really nice and helpful because we had kids.  They told us which lines were the shortest and helped told us exactly where to go.  Both boys fell asleep on the way home which was so nice!!  The flight home had some turbulence so I kind of got sick and the kids somehow slept through it.
Disneyland was awesome we had so much fun!!! I am so grateful to my family for taking us and helping us so much with our kids.  We had a lot of fun and Jackson still talks about it all the time.  Every day he tells me he wants to ride a Pooh, buzz, small world, or pirates.
