For fall break we went to Palm Springs with Jordan's family. We left on Tuesday night and stayed with my Aunt Sue in St George. Bubba was a nightmare that night! He didn't sleep at all! The next day we drove the rest of the way to Palm Springs. My boys were so excited to swim. We swam as soon as we got everything unloaded. We were the first people there so the boys didn't have any cousins to swim with which they were a little sad about but they still had fun.
The hotel we stay at is really fun and they have 2 amazing pools, several hot tubs, a lazy river, an arcade, a playground, and they they show movies every morning. We mostly just hung out at the hotel the whole time and did all the fun things there. The weather was actually really nice this year. Last year when we went it was so hot. This year wasn't nearly as bad so we could be outside in the morning and evenings and then just swim in the afternoon once it warmed up. We even had one day that was kind of cold but we still swam anyway and the kids had a lot of fun.
One of our favorite activities of the trip was scorpion hunting. Scorpions glow green when you shine a black light on them so we walked around the hills behind the hotel in the dark with black lights and my brother in law caught them with a plastic cup and a spatula and kept them in an empty juice bottle. My boys thought it was just amazing. They had so much fun. When I asked them what their favorite part of our trip was they both said scorpion hunting.
My kids had so much fun spending time with their cousins. I love that they have so many cousins their ages to play with. It was a really fun trip. We originally planned to go home on Saturday afternoon and stay in St George again but our boys were having so much fun that they didn't want to leave so we stayed until Sunday morning and just got up and left first thing in the morning.
