April Showers Bring May Flowers 2016

April was an awesome month for us!  It was busy, crazy, but amazing.  Harrison has definitely changed things in our house.  It's really hard to do anything with a new baby and it's been really rainy the last few weeks so we've mostly just been hanging out at home. We did make a few trips to the park and went to the tulip festival.  I was really excited to go the tulip festival because I've never been but the day we went it was crazy busy and really really windy and cold.  We couldn't get Harrison and it was just honestly kind of miserable.

Somehow even though we mostly stayed home my kids were somehow sick for most of the month.  Jacks got a bad cold when Harrison was only 4 days old and then they've had 2 more since then.  All my boys got a bad cough that lasted 3 weeks.  It was stressful have a 3 week old baby sick.  Jacks and Link were really sick but luckily Harrison didn't get it that bad.

Jacks

Jacks has had kind of a hard time adjusting to getting less attention.  He's been kind of a stinker teasing Link a lot and just being kind of naughty.  He's really sweet with Harrison though.  When we ride in the car Jacks puts Harrison's binky in his mouth for him and tries to comfort him when he's crying.  

Jacks just finished his last week of speech for the year today.  His teacher gave me a progress report today that showed his progress and he's actually made a lot of progress.  They gave him a test on the first day and then the same test last week and compared the results.  He's actually doing a lot better.  He still has a lot of things that he struggles with but he's made a lot of progress.  He still qualifies for speech services next fall so they'll just pull him out of kindergarten and work with him once a week.  

Jacks only has a couple more weeks left of preschool before summer break.  He's so excited for kindergarten to start.  He keeps asking me when he starts kindergarten.  Summer will be fun.  He has a really good friend that lives a couple of houses away from us that he plays with almost everyday.

 

Link

Link is seriously giving me a run for my money right now.  I love the kid to death but he is seriously a huge punk.  He causes so much trouble he's just naughty.  I don't know if it's just his age or a phase he's in or if it's just Harrison that 's made him crazy.  We've been working on potty training and it's been a nightmare.  He can do it he just refuses.  Some days he won't have a single wet diaper but then the next he just absolutely refuses to do it.  Potty training is seriously just a nightmare.  I don't know what to do with him. We've tried treats, prizes, and even peer pressure but nothing is working.  He's just being a huge stinker.

Everything Link does is seriously hilarious but also super naughty.  When Harrison was only a couple of weeks old I was upstairs taking care of Harrison when I walked down stairs I found Link outside swinging without pants or shoes on yelling something at me.  He came in the house to get dressed and I saw that he was covered in green marker.  He had completely colored one of his arms his face and his hair.  He was so excited and showed me all the stuff he colored.  He colored my wall and a couple of my bar stools with green marker! I made him get in the tub and he told me "I"m the green goblin mom!"  I was so mad that he had colored on my wall and I was in such a hurry to get him in the tub that I didn't take a picture and now I wish I had.  It was washable marker and it came off really easy. I was seriously ticked at the time but now it just makes me laugh.

Link is obsessed with Spider-man right now,  He runs around pretending to throw spider webs.  We went to the park the other day and he kept approaching random strangers yelling "Hey remember me I'm Spider-man!"  Jacks started playing tag with some little girls and they were screaming running from him and Link yelled "Hey girls!  I can protect you I'm Spider-man!"He's so funny!  He is so funny.  His Spider-man obsession kind of bothers me because it's so violent but he loves it and he's really funny running around throwing his webs.

I took Link to the dentist for the first time this week.  He was awful!!  The whole day was just really bad.  I had an appointment first and then Jordan brought the boys for their appointment and I just stayed with them.  Things were so crazy that morning that we definitley had a parenting fail!!!!!  Jacks had his pants on backwards and his shoes ont he wrong feet.  Harrison had a massive blowout all up his back and Link was just naughty.  He was so bad!!!!  He just wouldn't sit still and open his mouth. He was really funny though as usually funny but naughty.  He kept telling the dental hygienist "I have a great idea!"  His idea was usually just that he wanted to run around the office and play with everything in the office.  She kept telling him to open his mouth so she could clean his teeth and he kept telling her "That's not a great idea."  He was just super naughty.  I was so glad when it was over!!  Taking all 3 boys anywhere is just so hard. 

Poor guy was so sick that he fell asleep like this in the stroller as we walked down the street.

Harrison

Harrison growing like a weed!  He's 6 weeks old now.  He's so stinking cute.  He's started to smile now which is just adorable.  He's been really colicy the last few weeks.  He just cries and cries.  He has a really hard time sleeping unless he's being held.  I get him to sleep and then as soon as I set him down he immediately wakes up or wakes up within 20 minutes.  It's really frustrating.  I never get anything done and I usually just end up sleeping on the couch with him at night.  Some days he doesn't really sleep much just little 15-30 minute naps and others he takes a good afternoon nap. He is just so gasses that a lot of times he'll fall asleep and a gas bubble wakes him up then he can't go back to sleep.  He's not on any kind of schedule yet.  He won't really go to sleep in the car very well but if he does he usually sleeps really well in his car seat.  He is seriously cute!  His cuteness kind of makes up for his refusal to sleep.  

Harrison has put on a lot of weight lately.  He just seems like he's going through a growth spurt right now because he's always hungry.  I feel like I do nothing but feed the kid and he's still hungry. He's wearing 0-3 months cloths now and size 1 diapers.  He's so sweet.  I just seriously love the kid!  I think he looks a lot like Jackson has a baby but other people tell me he looks like and Link.  

Nothing is really new or exciting with Jordan and I.  We're just trying to survive the transition to three little boys.  Jordan finally convinced me we needed to buy a van.  I'm not proud of it but we finally did it.  I think it will be really nice.  I have serious pride issues driving the hideous thing but it does have a ton of space and it's nice that my kids won't be able to touch each other.  The boys are super excited about it for some reason.  They just love climbing around in it.  Before we bought it I wanted an SUV and Jackson and Jordan really wanted the van.  Jacks would tell me all the time we needed a van.  I'm not sure where the obsession came from but Jacks got his wish.
