Harrison 9 Months

Harrison is 9 months!  He is getting so big! He has changed so much over the past month.  He has turned into a wild little man!  He is all over the place!  He is starting to crawl a little bit then usually starts scooting because it's faster.  Just this month he's started pulling himself into a sitting position from his stomach.  He has started to climb.  He pulls himself up on furniture now and climbs the stairs.  It's getting hard to leave him alone because he always goes straight for the stairs.  He's not great at going up stairs yet and still falls and he can't go down at all so it's a little scary.  He loves it though he always has a huge grin on his face the whole time he's climbing.

Bubs loves to get into everything and explore everything.  He's just everywhere and into everything.  He's such a happy little kid.  He still doesn't sleep very well though.  He's still up a ton at night.  I think he might be cutting some more teeth really soon because he hasn't been sleeping and he's been really grumpy at night. He isn't a great napper either.  He hasn't been taking very long naps lately but he's still happy somehow even without any sleep.

Bubs has turned into an eater!  He loves solid food and doesn't really like to eat baby food anymore.  His favorite foods are bread, cheerios, and string cheese.  He still eats little squeezer pouches a little but he hates eating baby food from a spoon.  He doesn't like potatoes or sweet potatoes but other than that he isn't that picky.

Harris was so fun on Christmas this year!  He didn't get the unwrapping thing at all but he liked to play with the wrapping paper and he likes all of his new toys.

Snowed In

December was such a crazy month this year!  The weather was really cold and it's so hard to do things in the cold with a little baby.  Our kids have been sick a lot lately so we've spent a lot of time stuck at home.  We missed a few of our usual Christmas activities like Temple Square and Gardner Village this year just because it's hard on Harrison.

Jordan had a really really hard month.  He's been sick a lot.  He had surgery 6 days before Christmas and he was completely miserable for about a week and a half.  The week before his surgery he had some really bad pain in his back.  We were worried that he had kidney stones so I took him to the hospital but they couldn't really find anything wrong with him so he had just had to suffer with the pain for a few days.  He felt horrible and just didn't even want to do anything at all and my kids just drove him crazy.  He was still having some pain on the day of his surgery but he decided to go ahead and have surgery anyway.  He had cartilage taken from his ear and put into his nose to try to fix his deviated septum.  He was so miserable after surgery.  It took him a week and a half before he even felt like doing anything.  He was so miserable.  He just want to sleep and couldn't deal with the kids.  It was a really rough couple of weeks taking care of him, the kids, and trying to get ready for Christmas by myself.  He's finally feeling better though his ear still hurts a little and his nose is still swollen but at least he feels good enough to go to work and help out with the kids.

Jacks has been sick for a lot of the month of December.  He had school clear until December 22.  It was kind of annoying that he had to go to school for that long but at the same time I'm glad because he was so excited for Christmas that he was driving me completely crazy so it was really good for him to at least stay busy a little bit.  He's really enjoying school.  His class Christmas party was a little elf party.  He got to dress up like an elf (Christmas pjs and a dollar store hat) for the party and they had little elf snacks and games. He really enjoyed it a lot.

Getting a good smiling picture of this kid is next to impossible.  He's always pulling weird faces.

My mom gave them all cute matching Christmas pajamas.  Jacks wore them for his elf party and they looked so cute I attempted to get a cute picture of them all dressed up like little elves.  It didn't really turn out so great.

Link has been doing okay.  His sleep schedule has been all over the place again which means that he's been kind of a grouch again.  I'm seriously hoping that now the holidays are over we can get into a better routine and he'll start sleeping better again.

Harrison is 9 months and seriously getting so big!  He was so fun at Christmas this year.  He's the sweetest little baby.  He hasn't been sleeping very well lately so that's been a struggle but he's still so sweet and pretty happy.

My kids were so excited for the entire month of December.  It was really fun but also really hard because they just acted horrible for the entire month. Being stuck inside all the time has been hard and they're just so excited that they acted crazy! They were so disobedient and wild and constantly making messes and fighting.  Jacks just teased Link nonstop so it was kind of hard. It's also been super fun because we did do a lot of fun things and it was fun to see them so excited.  They are both at such a fun age right now.  They finally really understand Christmas so it was super fun.

We went and saw Santa at the Riverwoods.  The guy was super creepy.  Jacks got kind of nervous but did sit on his lap and told him he wanted a drift bike.  He didn't tell him that he wanted a magic set and kind of freaked out later thinking that Santa wouldn't bring it to him.  Link was really tired and was just terrified of Santa and would even look at him.  I tried to force him into a picture and he wouldn't even do that he just freaked out.  Harrison wasn't quite sure what to think of him and just pulled on his beard.

Seriously the creepiest Santa I've ever seen.
Gingerbread house!

We took the boys to a UVU basketball game with some friends.  They both kind of hated it!  Link just got bored and Jacks hated how loud it was.  Harrison was actually great for the whole thing though.  The game went into overtime and I thought Link was going to have a nervous breakdown by the end!
Jordan's family had a fun little Christmas FHE at his brother's house.  They had a little lesson and then decorated Christmas cookies.  They boys had a lot fun and always love spending time with their cousins.

On Christmas Eve we always go to Jordan's parent's house for dinner.  Jordan was not feeling good at all still from surgery and he was just kind of miserable.  Jacks and Link had a lot of fun though.  They enjoyed playing with their cousins and the cousin gift exchange. Jordan's sister came up from Arizona so his whole family was there and it was a lot of fun.

My mother in law always has the cutest little backdrops for pictures.  Jordan wasn't really feeling up to a photo op but I got some of the boys.  My phone doesn't take great pictures in certain light so they sadly didn't turn out great.  But they looked so cute in their matching pajamas.

Reindeer game!

All of the grandkids.  Grumpy Lincoln was of course trying to escape the picture.

The party was really hard for Jordan because he just wasn't feeling good so we left around 8 and I put the kids in bed.  They were so excited for Santa to come I don't even know how the fell asleep.  They were so fun this year they really understood Christmas.  Link told me to make sure to take the glass off the front of the fireplace downstairs so Santa could get out after he came down the chimney.

On Christmas morning they woke up a little before 7 and opened presents.  They got so excited that Santa had come!  We put some milk and cookies out for Santa the night before and they thought it was great that they were gone in the morning.   The loved all their presents and they had a really fun morning.  It had snowed all night the night before and just kept on snowing.  We had about 8 inches when we woke up and probably got about 4 more by noon.  It was just crazy amounts of snow!  Christmas was on a Sunday and I was planning on taking my kids to church.  Jordan was definitely not feeling up to up.  I went out and shoveled around 9 and it was just crazy!  There were tons of people getting stuck on our road and there was no way were going to even make it out of the driveway so we missed church.  We were snowed in until the afternoon so we hung out until about 2 when the snow finally stopped and we somehow made it out of our driveway and went to my parents house for dinner.  Jordan just didn't feel great the whole day but my boys had a lot of fun.

The boys loved all the snow we got on Christmas. They had so much fun making snow angels and attempting to make a snow man.

This was unfortunately an action shot and the snowball hit me directly in the face right after I took this picture.

After Christmas my Grandma always has a family Christmas party with all of my cousins.  We play bunko, have a pinata, and play other fun games.  It's always a lot of fun and my kids always love playing with my cousins kids.

Jacks loved the pinata this year!  He actually hit it super hard and got some candy out.

Shelley's bunko buddy!  He played with her the entire time!
We aren't really New Years Eve people.  This year we just went to my parents for dinner then went to bed at 10.  I had to work at 5:45 AM the next day so staying up wasn't even tempting at all.  The day after New Years Jordan had off work so we took the boys sledding.  The absolutely loved it!  They're finally big enough that they can go down by themselves and walk up the hill by themselves so it was really easy for Jordan and me and they had so much fun.  Harrison was so good the whole time and even went down the hill a couple of times.  He wasn't very impressed.  My boys love the snow!  We've had so much snow lately!  We had another huge snow storm and got snowed in again today!  It was so bad that Jackson's school got cancelled which they NEVER do!  So it was just crazy we couldn't get our cars out of the driveway.  Jordan had to get a ride to work from his brother who has a truck.  I hate it but my boys absolutely love it!  They've been playing in the snow all day and just love it!
New Years Eve

He loved sledding!  We were there for almost 2 hours and he didn't even want to leave.

They wanted to go sledding again but we got snowed in so we built our own hill!  They loved it!  Then we dug it out into a cave!  I hate snow but I even enjoyed this!
