Camping

We took the boys camping in the Uintas this summer.  We had planned to stay 2 nights but there was a fire up there and there were a ton of planes and helicopters flying around so we knew we wouldn't get any sleep that night and I was a little nervous that the fire could shift towards us.  We just pulled off on a dirt road and set up our tent.  It was a lot of fun.  We just fished mostly and did a little hiking.  We hiked to Ruth's Lake to fish and spent a lot of time at Trial Lake.  We never caught anything which drove Link crazy but we still had a lot of fun.  The boys loved the camp fire and sleeping in a tent.  Bubba's favorite thing was peeing on the camp fire to try and put it out.

We played in the river near a waterfall for a while.  The kids got soaked and had a lot of fun.

Summer was a Bummer

Summer was kind of rough this year.  We couldn't really go a lot of places or see family.  COVID just really kind of sucks and we want it to be gone!  We did a lot fishing and hiking this summer and that's about it. It's been so hot that it was kind of miserable even being outside at times.

We went to the Uintas a few times fishing.  Link is absolutely obsessed with fishing.  Bubba and Jackson don't love it but they tolerate it.

We went hiking up at Provo Canyon one Saturday.  We wanted to hike to Scout Falls but the canyon was so insane that you couldn't even find a parking spot the rangers were letting people park on the road a mile away from the trail head.  We just pulled off on a random trail head and hiked up the trail for a while.  Everything has been so crazy lately because there is nothing to do but go outside the trails have just been nuts.
