St George

May was a crazy month for us.  Jordan had 2 conferences basically back to back.  He had a conference in St George from Wed to Friday then he had to leave for Colorado Sunday until Wed.  His conference in St George was during Jackson's last week of school but we decided to just go with him.  The last week of school was basically just fun anyway so I didn't worry to much about him missing it.  We went down on Tues night and then home on Thursday night.  Friday was Jackson's kindergarten graduation which I didn't want him to miss so Jordan just missed the last day of his conference and came home with us.
The weather was kind of terrible the whole time we were there.  It was really rainy and cold in St George.  It was snowing in Spanish Fork so I really shouldn't complain about the crappy weather in St George.  I was just expecting at least 80's at the end of May.  Even with the crappy weather we still had fun.
Harrison had a really hard time on this trip.   He didn't sleep at all!  He was up all night both nights that we were there and he wouldn't take a good nap during the day.  We ended up driving around a lot in the rain so that he'd get some sleep.
On Wednesday it rained most of the day so we did some inside things.  We went to the children't museum and mostly hung out at the hotel.  The boys all loved the children's museum.  They didn't want to leave but I made them because Harrison was really tired.  We drove a round a lot to try to get Harrison to get some sleep because he was a grumpy monster.  Swig became our daily stop on our drive which the boys loved.  Harrison got a little nap and then we went to the all abilities play ground.  The boys loved it.  It was rainy and cold and all the play ground equipment was soaking wet but my boys still insisted on playing.  After that we just hung out at the hotel until Jordan finished his conference for the day.  That night the weather cleared up a little so we went to Pioneer Park and hiked around for a while.  Right as we got into our car it started hailing and then hailed and poured for the rest of the night.

He loved this little shopping cart!

We had just watched into the woods so my boys were singing Agony the whole trip.  They started lifting up their shirts singing the song imitating the part in the song where they rip their shirts open.

Thursday the rain was mostly gone it was just really cold and overcast.  We took Harrison for a drive in the morning and then went to my aunt Sue's house hoping he'd stay asleep.  He of course woke up but we hung out there for a while then went back to Thunder Junction Park.  My boys had so much fun we stayed for almost 3 hours.  The train was running so we rode the train and had lunch there. After that we took Harrison for another ride and then went back to Sue's.  Harrison surprisingly took a really good nap at Sue's house.  My boys were so tired they just sat and watched Netflix for a couple of hours until Jordan was done with his conference.  We went to Snow Canyon that night and hiked Jenny's Canyon and then went to the sand dunes.  It was windy and freezing the whole time.  Harrison loved the sand dunes.  After the sand dunes we grabbed some food and just drove home.  Our trip was okay just really hard with a one year old monster.  Just blogging about this has taken away basically all motivation I have to go on any more vacations for a very long time until Harrison is a lot older.

The next week Jordan went to Colorado for  a few days.  I thought I'd be nervous staying here by myself but it actually wasn't that bad the boys and I actually had a lot of fun.  It was the first week of Jackson's summer vacation so that was super fun and we just kind of hung out and didn't do that much.
