Palm Springs

For fall break this year we went to Palm Springs with Jordan's family.  All of Jordan's siblings went and my boys had so much fun with all of their cousins.  There are 16 grandkids so it was kind of crazy and a lot of fun.

We left Tuesday night after Jordan got off work and stayed in St. George that night then drove the rest of they way on Wednesday morning.  It was such a long boring drive!  Driving is really hard with 3 little kids especially a baby.  Jacks got really car sick on the way there because the rode we took there was crazy bumpy and he was throwing up the whole first day that we were there.

The weather was really hot and there isn't a ton to do in Palm Springs so we mostly just hung out at the pool.  The hotel we stayed at had a really nice pool with a lazy river and a couple of hot tubs.  Jacks and Link had so much fun swimming and just hanging out with their cousins.  This was Harrison's first time swimming and he absolutely loved it!  He had so much fun splashing around in the water.  He was so cute.  It was kind of hard on him because his nap schedule was kind of messed up but he was so good.  He did so much better than I thought he would.

While we were there we found this really cool little palm tree forest called Thousand Palms Oasis.  It was just a random forest of palm trees surrounded by nothing but desert about 20 minutes from our hotel.

My boys had so much fun just hanging out with their cousins in the hotel.  We shared a room with Jordan's brother and his family so it was kind of hard because Link woke up at 6 every morning that we were there.  It was so hard to keep him quiet so everyone else could get some sleep.  I ended up taking him out on the balcony every morning for a couple of hours before everyone else woke up.  We threw food over the edge for the ducks in the little pond below us and just hung out and ate breakfast out there.
The hotel had an arcade they had a lot of fun playing in.  They also had a small theater so went to a couple of movies while we were there.

We had so much fun while we were there.  My boys absolutely loved it.  We left on Saturday afternoon for St. George.  We went home a different way and it was crazy.  We were in the middle of no where!  We lost all cell service and in about 3 hours of driving we probably only saw about 5 cars.  It was kind of crazy.  I've never been anywhere so remote and just ugly.  It made me appreciate Utah a lot more.

We stayed Saturday night in St George and then Sunday morning we went to Pioneer park.  Pioneer park is always so fun it's one of my favorite things to do in St George.  We hiked up on the Dixie Rock and then found the tiny slot canyon.  We've been to Pioneer Park a few times but this was the first time we've ever found the slot canyon.  It was so skinny Jordan and I couldn't really fit through it but Jacks and Link loved it.  They hiked clear through the whole thing.  It kind of freaked me out because Link of started freaking out half way through and we couldn't really go and get him.  They loved it though they talked about it for days after we got home.  It was  a really fun trip.  My boys had so much fun with all their cousins.
