COVID really changed the holidays this year. It was different but we still had a lot of fun. We had a Halloween party with Jordan's family. The kids had a lot of fun playing with cousins. I feel so bad I didn't get a good picture of any of my kids in their Halloween costumes. Jackson was Gandolf and just kind of hated the costume and took it off at school even. Link was a ninja and Bubba was Mickey from Mickey and Roadster Racers. On Halloween we didn't let our kids go trick-or-treating because of COVID. Our neighborhood doesn't really a ton for Halloween anyway and we just worried that all the old people in our neighborhood wouldn't answer the door anyway. We just hung out with a few of our neighbors and had a little fire and just talked and the kids played. It wasn't the same as trick-or-treating but we made the best of it.
Thanksgiving was the biggest bummer holiday this year. We were staying away from my parents because their being really careful with COVID so we couldn't go over there. Jordan's family was out of town so we were just on our own. I made a full Thanksgiving dinner which actually turned out great. I had spent all day cooking then we ate and went on a bike ride after. I had to go to work that night. It was kind of disappointing to not be with family. It was kind of cool to make my own dinner and the kids got along really well and it was kind of a fun day.
