Karen & Jordan: Harrison 2

My sweet little Bubba is 2! I grew up way to fast! The past month I feel like he's grown up a lot. He really understands what we're saying and he's good at following directions. He thinks he's 7 instead of 2. He wants to do everything his brothers do he is their little shadow! He follows them around on the street and tries to play with the bigger neighborhood kids. He is such a crazy little kid. He really doesn't understand how little he is. He is really good at climbing and is getting into everything right now. He likes to climb up on counters and play in the sink.

Things Harrison Likes:

Playing outside
Following his brothers
Plasma car
Climbing on EVERTHING
Swinging like a big boy
Candy
Fruit
Batman toys
Any kind of ride on toy
Walks in the stroller
Hiking

Things Harrison Hates:

Sleeping! Naps and going to bed at night and sleeping through the night! He's been getting up a lot lately and just staying up for like 2 hours during the night.
Being forced to hold still
Being treated like a baby. He seriously thinks he's big and wants to run around wild like a 7 year old.
Not getting his way

Harrison is a pretty pleasant kid. He's usually really really happy the only time he's really grumpy is when he's really really tired, sick, or really hungry. He's always on the move and getting into stuff. He's starting to talk a lot more. He's gotten really good at repeating things that I say and he's getting better about talking on his own. I still feel like he's a little behind on his speech. Most people can't understand most of what he says I'm the only one that can understand him most of the time. He is making progress though so hopefully he'll catch up.

His sleep schedule is kind of all over the place I'm really worried he's going to stop taking naps soon. His naps keep getting later. He would like to take a nap around 2 but with picking up kids from school it usually ends up being 3-5 that he ends up sleeping then he doesn't go to bed at night which is kind of a pain.

Harrison wants to be independent so bad. He likes to undress himself and tries to dress himself a lot. He always gets his shoes and jacket from the closet himself and tries to put them on. He is really good about cleaning up after himself and throwing things away when he's done. He really hates that he's so little he wants to run around the street all day and gets so frustrated that I try to contain him in our backyard. He's just to little to understand getting hit by a car so it's really hard because I have to be right with him whenever he's in the front yard.

He's getting so big and he's such a cute sweet little boy. We're so lucky to have our sweet little Bubba.

Harrison's Birthday

Harrison's birthday was on Easter this year. I loved doing the April Fools party last year but I didn't think it would be great for Easter. We had both of our Easter parties with our families early this year so it was kind of a relaxing day. It was conference this year so we went to Jordan't parent's house in the morning for breakfast with all of Jordan's family and celebrated the birthdays from the last month.

After the party we went home and watched conference then went to my parent's house for dinner. My grandma came and we just had dinner and hung out and Harrison opened presents. It was a really fun day celebrating Easter and Bubba's birthday.

He didn't like what I made him wear so he pulled all of his cloths off and put Jackson's dirty cloths from the day before on and walked around like this for a couple of hours.
